Meet Your Raleigh Pet Sitters

All of our sitters are employees, not independent contractors. They have all gone through an interview process including a criminal background check. They are covered under Raleigh Pet Sitters’ dishonesty bond and insurance.

Colleen

Client Experience Manager

Hi, my name is Colleen. I’m originally from upstate New York, but call Raleigh home as I’ve lived here most of my life. I’m a total animal lover and have been for as long as I can remember. I have a Pitbull named Africa, who brings joy to my every day! Can’t imagine a day without her silly self by my side! I have my bachelors in Psychology and I’m currently working on a degree in Computer Programming. In my free time, I love all things health related. I really enjoy running, biking and anything outdoors.

I had been a pet sitter with Raleigh Pet Sitters for six years until recently I transitioned to the Client Experience Manager position in the company and couldn’t be happier! I’m able to still connect with clients and help set them up for the best care they need for their pets. Being able to work on both sides of the company has provided me with a lot of insight.  I look forward to meeting you and your furry friends in the future!

Grant

Professional Pet Sitter

My name is Grant. Originally from Washington, Pennsylvania, I ventured down to beautiful North Carolina in 2014 in hopes of finding my spot in life. I have always had a love for all animals large and small. I began my career in the pet community in high-school first volunteering at my local humane society eventually being hired on staying with them for four years.

In the years following, I have continued to work/manage at various boarding kennels. Over the 15 + years of working with animals, I have encountered almost every situation possible. I am experienced in administering medication and have experience with puppies, senior pets, and aggressive pets as well. I am confident I can provide your pet with the love and security it deserves and you expect!

Mary

Professional Pet Sitter

My name is Mary, and I have loved being around animals since I was quite young. They give me happiness, and I would like to think that I contribute to their happiness and well-being as well! In college, most of my free-time was spent working with animals, whether it was volunteering at the Wake County S.P.C.A., helping rehabilitate injured box turtles with N.C.S.U. College of Veterinary Medicine’s Turtle Rescue Team, or volunteering with Triangle Equine, a mobile veterinary practice. I also currently work at a small animal hospital. I am very excited to be apart of the Raleigh Pet Sitters’ team, and can’t wait to help keep your “fur babies” well taken care of, calm, and happy while you are away.

Ann

Professional Pet Sitter

Hi, I’m Ann. I am a transplant from Florida and moved here 3 years ago to be near my family. I have a 12 year lab/pit mix adopted from hurricane Katrina and a 13 year old Maine coon mix that was a stray who was going to be put down. I have worked in the vet field for the past 20 years and I have been pet sitting for 15 years. I grew up around all animals and horses and will treat and love your pets like my own.

Brittany

Professional Pet Sitter

My name is Brittany, I am originally from Long Island, New York, but now call Raleigh home. I graduated in May 2016 from William Peace University with a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. During my time at school I had an internship with Quail Corners Animal Hospital, which made me want to get involved with animals even more! I have always had a passion for animals of all shapes and sizes and in the future I’m going to be an ASPCA officer (hence the criminal justice degree ☺). I have a 2 year old Doberman named Duke who I rescued from the ASPCA almost a year ago and I have fallen in love with him every day since. He is the king of kisses! I also have two long distance ferrets named Neko and Pippin who currently live with my father in Charlotte. This is not just a job to me, when I’m taking care of your pet(s), I am taking care of them as if they are my own with lots of love and affection! I look forward to meeting you and your wonderful babies in the near future.

Jess

Professional Pet Sitter

My name is Jess, I am originally from Richmond Virginia, but I’ve been living in North Carolina for the last 16 years. I spent time in both the eastern and western parts of the state, before moving to the Triangle in 2003. I have a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from UNC-Chapel Hill. I later went to grooming school, became a pet stylist, and managed the Brier Creek Petco grooming salon for 5 years. I recently graduated with my Master’s degree in Environmental Policy from American Public University and am spending some quality time at home with my 2 babies, a silky terrier named Oso and a cat who is affectionately known as Archie.

I’ve had a passion for animals for as long as I can remember. When I was kid, my parents would rescue any hurt animals that they found. I got to help nurse birds, squirrels, and chipmunks back to health throughout my childhood. I’ve volunteered at numerous shelters and sanctuaries for many years, including the country’s largest sanctuary, Best Friends in Kanab, Utah. I have experience with a variety of animals, including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, hamsters, snakes, lizards, birds, and fish.

Dawn

Professional Pet Sitter

I’m Dawn and I live in downtown Raleigh with my pit bull, Cal and Lab/Hound Mix, Winnie. I’m a NC native and grew up surrounded by animals. In my lifetime I’ve owned (and in some cases, they’ve owned me) countless dogs, one hamster that turned into 8 hamsters one Sunday morning while we were at church, three cats, two iguanas, two rabbits, two turtles, one hermit crab, one bird, and a betta fish that lived for six years.  I also happen to have one human child and a husband (also human… most of the time).  I’m currently working on my first book and when I need to escape the world of make believe and get a dose of reality, I turn to animals. They are as real as it gets after all.

Lacy

Professional Pet Sitter

Hi, I’m Lacy! I’m a raleigh native.  I spend every chance I get outside with my two pups (Violet, 2-year-old pit/border collie mix, and Lola, 12-year-old black lab). Having a lifetime of experience with dogs and other animals in my house, I’m so excited to be a part of the Raleigh Pet Sitters team. I can’t wait to meet you and your four legged babies. Woof!

Allison

Professional Pet Sitter

Hi, my name is Allison. I relocated to Raleigh earlier this year with my husband and 15 year old daughter after numerous vacations visiting family and friends here. I fell in love with the area! Before moving here, I was a certified dog groomer. At home, I enjoy the love of my very “needy” pug, Ruxin and his two kitty sisters, Fluffy and Pretty Girl. Your furry family members under my care will be cared for and loved as if they are my own. I am deeply committed to being considered a trusted pet sitter and dog walker.

Ciara

Professional Pet Sitter

Hello! My name is Ciara. I am originally from Sharon, Pennsylvania, but I have lived in North Carolina for about 14 years.  I attended Appalachian State University for chemistry, but my true love has always been caring for animals. Growing up in a family of animal lovers, we had an array of pets including dogs, cats, birds, and iguanas. Most of my free time is spent with my 3 year old Australian Shepherd named Lily who loves rolling around in the grass with her favorite toys or inside cuddling my sweet cat, Maeleigh. I’m so excited to join the Raleigh Pet Sitters team and give all of your fur babies love and attention!

Amanda

Professional Pet Sitter

I’m so excited to help take care of your fuzzy family! My name is Amanda and I moved to Raleigh in early 2017 after living in Denver, Colorado. I have been a life long pet and animal lover, and began professional pet care in 2015. I take pride in providing the best care possible, and have taken several courses in pet care and pet training.

I have four wonderful pets at home – two dogs and two cats, but I love all animals and am happy to help care for your furry friends. You can feel safe knowing that I will care for your animals as I would my own!
