During the hiring process, potential employees are subject to a multi-step interview process, including a criminal background check. This ensures the company’s safety as well as our clients. After the candidate is hired, they receive Raleigh Pawz official hands on training which includes a pet safety and home safety protocol. In addition to the training, all employees are covered under our worker’s compensation plan.
From your client’s perspective, you’ll offer the perfect alternative to a kennel and pet networking sites. We keep your pets happy at home, and provide you with professional care.
As a Raleigh Pawz customer, you are able to enjoy peace of mind and reassurance that your pets are well cared for while you’re away. We guarantee that you will return home to a happy pet. While you’re away, our sitters go the extra mile by taking care of any home tasks you may need completed such as watering plants, bringing in mail/packages, rotating blinds/lights, taking out trash/recycle.
At the end of each visit, you will receive a visit note including photographs emailed to you in real-time from our walker/sitter.

The training program will take place in Raleigh, NC or at another location that we designate. The initial training program will last approximately three to five days. We will also send one of our trainers to your Raleigh Pawz to provide on-site opening assistance for up to five days.
The training program is all-inclusive and covers everything that you need to know to run a Raleigh Pawz ranging from client scheduling, to hiring and staffing, to payroll. You’ll receive our exclusive Operations, Marketing, and Employee Manuals so that you have access to our proven systems and helpful tips to easily get started. Franchisees will get hands on experience during the training program and on-site opening assistance so that they have all of the skills needed to operate a successful Raleigh Pawz.
Will I receive ongoing support post initial training program?
Yes, we will provide tools and support during the life span of the franchise agreement. Tools and support to operate, grow, and problem solve is at your fingertips with access to the Raleigh Pawz private intranet. A trainer is always a click or phone call away. As a franchisee and part of the Raleigh Pawz family, you also have opportunities to network and connect with other franchise business owners in our supportive online community and coaching calls.
Are there any special licenses or certifications required to become a Raleigh Pawz?
We require that all franchisees and their employees are certified in Pet CPR and First Aid. We can help you connect with a certification class in your area during the training program. Depending on your location, your city may require you to obtain a business license. You can contact your local city office for more information.
How do I determine territory?
We work with our franchisees to determine population density, demographic and geographic boundaries. Your Designated Territory will include a population density of approximately 100,000 targeted households depending on the population density and traffic patterns.

You’ll complete a short Questionnaire providing us with a little more information about you. Then, we can send you the Franchise Disclosure Document (FDD), providing you with more information about Raleigh Pawz!

Candidates who we believe would be a good fit to own a Raleigh Pawz franchise will be invited to Raleigh, North Carolina to learn more about the opportunity and to meet the Raleigh Pawz management team.
Upon 72 hours of attending the Discovery Day, you will know whether or not a franchise is going to be awarded. Upon execution of the franchise agreement, you’re now a Raleigh Pawz owner. We’re excited for you to join the Raleigh Pawz family! Next, you’ll schedule a time to attend Raleigh Pawz University for your initial training program.
