If you have recently lost a pet loved-one and need someone to talk to, the SPCA of Wake County has a pet loss support group. It is free to attend and they meet (almost every) third Sunday of the month. Please check their schedule to confirm. Their next meeting is in September. Here are the event details:
200 Petfinder Ln
Raleigh, NC 27603
Do you need someone to talk to about it? Someone who understands? Someone who mourns the loss of their pet too? The SPCA Pet Loss Support Group may help.
The group is facilitated Rob Gierka, a non-denominational chaplain (email: [email protected]). While beneficial, the SPCA Pet Loss Support Group is not intended to replace professional counseling services or physician recommendations. It simply provides a space for sharing with others who have shared in the experience of the loss of a pet.
The meetings are open to all who are interested.
